Cite-Checking: Bridging the Gap

This Cite-Checking seminar is a follow-up to the basic "Introduction to Cite-Checking."  It is intended to "bridge the gap" for relatively new cite-checkers who have some familarity with The Bluebook but who are not yet at the Advanced level.  The seminar will be three hours in length, and will cover the following: 

• The first hour will be a review and refresher of basic citation principles.

• During the second hour, some new citation principles and rules will be introduced. Attendees will work on some citation exercises and correct errors in a court brief.

• During the third and final hour, attendees will review the answers to the exercises and be provided with corrections to the court brief.
