Deborah A. Bouchoux, Esq. is an accomplished licensed attorney with over twenty-five years of experience in legal education and twenty years as a practicing attorney. As an adjunct faculty member in Georgetown University’s paralegal studies program, she served on the program’s advisory board. Her teaching career began with earlier roles in paralegal programs at the University of San Diego and The George Washington University.

Building on her academic expertise, Ms. Bouchoux has delivered presentations on diverse legal topics and provided training to professionals across various sectors. Her engagements include private law firms, Fortune 500 companies, and public and private non-profits, such as the National Capital Area Paralegal Association ("NCAPA") and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc. ("FINRA"). She has also worked with government agencies, including the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation ("FDIC"), the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. House of Representatives (Office of General Counsel), the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office ("USPTO"), and the U.S. Tax Court.

In addition to her teaching and training contributions, Ms. Bouchoux holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Santa Clara University (summa cum laude) and a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from San Diego State University (magna cum laude). She remains an active member of the District of Columbia Bar and an inactive member of the California State Bar.

Further enriching the legal field, Ms. Bouchoux has authored over 15 textbooks and contributed articles to national and local paralegal publications, significantly advancing educational and professional resources. As of November 2025, currently available publications include:
