Finding Your Ikigai
About the Event
Ikigai is a Japanese term for “the reason for being.” The Oxford English Dictionary defines Ikigai as “a motivating force; something or someone that gives a person a sense of purpose or a reason for living.” In 2022, our friend Flor Da Valle from Argentina—a fashion designer, photographer, and life learner—led two workshops on the discussion of Ikigai.
In our upcoming workshop, Flor will once again explore Ikigai, iki (生き, meaning 'life; alive') and kai (甲斐, meaning '(an) effect). Flor will lead us through a journey by developing our own vision boards and writing a letter to ourselves to refine our own definition of our own reasons for being.
