Vision Board
About the Event
How do you turn your dreams into reality? It’s hard work and it’s about creating a vision for yourself to work toward. I learned the concept of “manifestation” from successful spiritual thought leaders such as Deepak Chopra, and Gabrielle Bernstein, and the latest from an interview with Anna Yusim, MD.
This brought back a memory from a workshop with a female Olympic bobsledder from Canada during the first year of Virtual Patent Gateway (VPG). There, she discussed how challenging it was for her to even enter the bobsled race, including procuring the funding and not giving up even when confronting naysayers. She then walked us through the process of creating a vision board.
But what exactly is a vision board? Put simply, it’s a visual representation of your goals. These are usually poster-sized visuals that contain several images and text that represent something you want to accomplish. You may collect cut-outs of images found on the internet; these images also could be hand-drawn if you are
feeling artistic. A vision board can be viewed as an instrument that helps you relate to your life direction.
For this webinar, we invited Flor Da Valle to be our speaker. Flor is a seasoned presenter on the subject of online Airbnb experience, specifically exploring street art in Buenos Aires. This was the first time I got to know Flor. We immediately meshed and collaborated on various workshops together to help people stay positive. We have previously discussed Ikigai, but we thought it would be great to start 2023 with a discussion of vision boards and how we can use these tools to propel ourselves forward despite challenges in our lives.
