About the Event
The terms “management” and “leadership” are often used interchangeably, however, while there is a bit of overlap between them, these are quite distinct roles that tend to be rooted in different mindsets, i.e., process-focused vs people-focused, respectively. Those with a process-focused mindset tend to focus on the processes of how work and tasks are performed; they direct the work of team members and are responsible for the outcomes and deliverables. Those with a more people-focused mindset tend to inspire their teams to take initiative and challenge themselves; they communicate vision, determine strategy, and motivate and support team members on their developmental paths.
