Virtual Patent Gateway (VPG) reduces overhead costs by providing PTAB attorneys with on-demand and affordable paralegal support services.
Vision for 2022
It’s hard to believe that Virtual Patent Gateway (VPG) is two years old. When I first started this virtual paralegal consultancy, backed by nearly two decades of patent litigation experience, I envisioned something that could allow me to pursue work/life balance, including the ability to travel and have control over my own schedule - and that's exactly what it's become, and so much more. During this journey, I've encountered other creative individuals, mostly women of diverse ages and backgrounds to help each other carry out their own vision.
VPG supports in-house corporate legal departments, solo practitioners, boutique firms, and patent practitioners in general practice firms – all virtually. We also educate people in the patent litigation space and encourage personal and professional growth by offering webinars, such as the PTAB Practitioner’s Series.
The VPG team is a group of creative professionals, skilled in digital strategies, arts, writing, and project management. For 2022, my vision for VPG is to capitalize on this team-driven venture, a one-stop shop to allow each of our team members to grow, while supporting our clients with cost-effective virtual paralegal services.
Thank you for your continued support,

Ashley Cheung and Virtual Patent Gateway has provided paralegal services to my firm in support of multiple proceedings at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). Her related experience in this niche practice area makes her a valuable asset to our team. What I appreciate most about Ashley is the timeliness of her communications. And working remotely is not a problem: she uses email correspondence, telephone, and video-conferencing to great effect.

Ashley’s reputation as a highly skilled, knowledgeable, and efficient PTAB and litigation paralegal are well deserved. She and I have worked together on several large and complex patent litigations, where tasks under Ashley’s management were one less thing to worry about. She also is a pleasure to work with and would be an asset to any litigation team.
